There were a lot of cool things I wanted to have when I grew up during the 70’s and 80’s.

An LCD watch was certainly on of these things, although they were out of reach for most kids who only had their allowance to spend.

A Sony TPS-L2, more known as the iconic Walkman launched in 1979 was another such thing that was highly sought after at that time.

There were also a lot of fantastic toys from the era, who doesn’t remember the original Batmobile from 1966 or the yellow Beatles submarine?

As a grown-up I can’t say that the craving for such things has decreased. But at this time they are a bit more available, partly because I have a bit more to spend compared with my allowance as a kid, partly because these things in most cases are pretty worn today and therefor also cheaper (at least in most cases).

Because of this I have started to collect on items that I come across on flea markets, auctions and other places. I also hope and believe that such things will be more and more collectible as time goes by, and because of that also increase in value.

Under the menus on the left I will show you some of the items I’ve managed to get my hands on so far.
